My portfolio is currently made up of mostly websites. That's because due to non-disclosure agreements, I can't always brag about my localization projects... but I'm working on some proof-of-concept projects that will showcase my skills without making my clients angry.
The original site was created in Dreamweaver, and had a nice clean and simple design that I actually liked a lot. Drupal made it easy for the Habitat volunteers to update the site, and get up to date information. This was also my chance to implement CiviCRM and make it easier for our Board Members to keep track of the volunteers and donors.
The original website was created in FrontPage, then went through a Dreamweaver phase. My client wanted a website could be updated by anyone to avoid having to ask me for every update. The resulting Drupal site makes this possible.
The Derby Dames first thought they would use WordPress, but they were already demanding features that would be asking too much of the blog-focused software. I converted the WordPress template into Drupal to take advantage of the advanced content features Drupal offers.
Translation by Design wanted a website that would be easy to update, provide the possibility of simple updates to add functionality later on, and most importantly have a blog that would help them attract clients and improve their organic search results. The new site successfully meets all these requirements.
